It was a hot summer’s afternoon in 2013. My brother and I had just been watching a documentary on the street art culture in New York when all of a sudden, inspiration hit.
“You know,” my brother said, “we could do that.”
“Do what?”
“Paste ups…all we have to do is draw something, cut it out, mix up some glue and… paste it up.”
From this idea, swift (me) and ctrl v (my bro) was born. We spent the next many years riding around on our fixies adding colourful creations to the laneways around fitzroy, collingwood and beyond.
